FAQ

What kind of bikes do you use?

We use 6 speed folding bikes with 20-inch tires which are easy to control. They are very reliable with DAHON Licensed Technology.
Our courses are one-way. You don't have to bring your bike back to the starting point. We made it possible by using these folding bikes. You will leave the tour in the middle of an interesting area and enjoy the rest of the day over there. Our staff will pick your bike up while you are having fun.

Can anyone ride the bike?

Yes, you can!
You need to have minimum riding skills and experience. You don't have to be excellent.
We have quick instruction session at the beginning of the tour.

Our bikes are designed for adult use.
The following is the advised height and weight.
Suggested Rider Height: 135cm-190cm
Max Rider Weight: 95kg
It might be difficult for you to ride our bike if your exceed this range.

Also, we set age limit for children.
Age: 12 and above. (U18 needs parent guidance)

Are the courses difficult?

Our courses are mostly flat and easy. We make stops often. We want to give you more time to look around at visiting spots. We don't want you to spend most of your time on the bike and just pass by things since we are visiting many interesting places.

What kind of outfits should I wear?

We lend you a helmet on your request. Helmet use for bike riders is NOT mandatory in Japan. However, we recommend it for your safety.
Please wear comfortable outfit good for exercise.
Our bikes don't have a basket. Please bring a backpack, a messenger bag or alike.

What should we do with our lunch?

We do not provide lunch in our tours since everyone has different taste for food and we wanted to make our tour price lower. We stop by a shop where you can pick up your lunch before lunch break or drop by a local restaurant. We will give you some recommendation of food since we want you to experience something new ! If you want to bring something with you, please bring something you don't need to microwave.

Do you cancel tours on rainy days?

We may have to cancel our tours depending on weather forecast. In the case of cancellation, we will conduct the rainy-day tour instead. We try to stick to the cycling itinerary as much as possible, but it also includes some alternative spots, and we will use public transportation.
You will be automatically entitled for this rainy-day tour in the case of cancellation. The meeting place and time is the same. However, if you wish to cancel your tour (in this case, we will refund you 100% of the tour fair) or to reschedule it, we can do so. Please choose options for rainy day tours on making reservation.
Please note that the rainy-day tours also may be cancelled because of really bad weather such as Typhoon and snow. Sorry...
When we cancel, we will send you an email. If you think you won't have any Internet access, please let us know.

What kind of insurance do you have?

If you are involved in an accident and get injured, the insurance will cover your medical treatment. Also, if you do some damage on someone's property. That will be covered too.
However, we also recommend you have your own travel insurance from your country that widely covers your risks.
Riding a bike under alcohol influence is strictly prohibited in Japan. I'm sorry but please do not drink alcohol during our tour. If you violate this, no insurance covers your damage. Please enjoy drinking after the tour!
